Module 4Lesson 4.3

Someone to present your offer who takes no cut of each sale

Who appears in your videos · Lesson 3 of 8

A man of about 50 at his home desk, looking at a sales table on his laptop with a column of commissions.

You have a 100-dollar course. Someone you know tells you: «get affiliates, they will sell it». It sounds good: you keep creating, and others talk about your offer.

Then you sit down to do the math.

What an affiliate costs

An affiliate is a person who recommends your product and keeps a share of each sale. On Hotmart, a large platform for digital products in Spanish, the product's owner sets the percentage, and the platform itself says an affiliate can receive «up to 80%» of each sale.

up to 80%what an affiliate can receive per sale on Hotmart (October 2026)
50 USDwhat a 50% affiliate keeps from each 100 USD course (example)
0.23 USDwhat it cost us to generate a 10-second clip with voice (September 2026)

And before you pay a single commission there is other work: finding affiliates, convincing them your product is worth it, telling them what to say and keeping them active month after month.

What an AI influencer costs

An AI influencer talks about your offer in every video. You pay for generating each video and put in your time to choose what to say and approve it. What you sell is not split with it.

Human affiliate

  • takes a commission on every sale
  • you have to find and convince them
  • they decide what they say and when

AI influencer

  • you pay for generating each video
  • you create it, once
  • it says the script you approve

This is how Eric sees it, thinking of the years ahead from 2027:

«The affiliates that do not make commission are going to be called AI influencers.»

Eric

What stays yours

A human affiliate sometimes comes with an audience of their own. An AI influencer starts with zero followers, and people get to know it as you post.

And you keep deciding: the topic of each video, what is said and when it is posted. Nobody talks about your offer without your approval.

The 100-dollar course and the 50% commission are an example. They do not say how much you will sell or how much you will earn.

How would you rather do it?

Nobody sees your answer: it is just for you.
