You see an ad for a joint supplement. It is presented by a 23-year-old guy, in a gym, with perfect skin and a magazine smile.
Your knees hurt when you climb the stairs. Do you believe him? Most likely you think: «and what does this kid know about what I'm going through?»
People believe someone like them
A creator who makes AI influencers for people aged 40 to 60 explains it in his course: that audience trusts someone their own age, or older, more when they talk about health or about life.
The idea works for any offer. The face in your videos looks like your buyer in:
- age;
- daily life: the yard, the workshop, the kitchen, the shop counter;
- the way of speaking: your buyer's words and accent;
- the place: a house or a street your buyer recognizes.
Too perfect does not convince
The prettiest face the app shows you is almost never the best one. A model's face, with studio light, looks like an ad, and people scroll past ads.
The people who teach how to make AI influencers recommend an everyday face: home lighting, skin with texture, a normal background and some detail of a life, like a worn watch or a plant behind.
Choose someone who has already solved the problem your buyer has today. That gives them authority before they say a word.
How to choose, in practice
You describe the person: age, where they are from, how they dress, how they talk. The app shows you several options and you choose.
To choose, go back to your three lines from lesson 3.1. Read the buyer line and look at each option. Keep the one your buyer would watch to the end without thinking it is an ad.
If you are torn between two, ask yourself which of the two could live on the same street as your buyer. That is usually the one.
