It is Monday. You have your type of business, your two samples and the baker's opinion written in your notebook.
Now comes the working week. Below are two example weeks, one for each offer. In the first one you sell nothing. In the second one, a business says yes.
An example, not a promise. Every number on this page comes from an example: how many businesses, how many replies, how many sales. Your week may turn out differently.
Week 1: videos for bakeries
You sit down for a while every night, after work.
- Monday: you search for bakeries in your city on the map and save 20.
- Tuesday: you read each one's file (its website, its social media, its reviews) and pick the 5 that need videos most.
- Wednesday: you make a 10-second sample video for each one, with its bread and its offer.
- Thursday: you write each one a personal message, with its sample inside.
- Friday: you check who to write to again next week.
Generating the 5 sample videos cost, in this example, about 1.15 dollars: 5 clips of 10 seconds at 23 cents. Finding the 20 businesses, building 5 files and writing 5 messages adds about 1.30 dollars more.
Week 2: graphics for 5 other bakeries
The next week you switch offers and repeat the same path with 5 other bakeries from your list.
- Monday: you pick 5 new bakeries from the 20 you saved and read their files.
- Tuesday and Wednesday: you make a pack of 3 graphics for each one: the person with the bread, the bread alone and the offer of the week.
- Thursday: you write to each one, with its pack inside.
- Friday: you write again to the 5 bakeries from week 1.
The 15 graphics cost about 32 cents to generate. You set the price of that first month yourself, with what you saw in module 8. For reference, in Spain one agency publishes 250 to 350 euros a month for running 1 or 2 social accounts with 4 to 8 posts.
The week at zero
Week 1 ended without a sale. It also happens to the people who teach this trade. One UGC creator puts it like this:
«I hear no's all the time. I get ghosted all the time. I follow up three times.»
Modern Millie, UGC creator
Another creator, Britt Drake, says she made 0 dollars in her first six months of UGC. This is what you do after a week at zero:
- you write again to the same businesses, up to three times;
- you change whatever in the sample raised the most doubts;
- you pick 5 new businesses from your list.
What you look at every Friday
Every Friday, look at two things: how many businesses answered and what they said. A «send me more information» is already a conversation with a business that did not know you on Monday.
With those notes you plan the next week.
