Pick a micro-niche where AI wins: 3 kinds of business

Find and serve clients · Lesson 1 of 9

A neighborhood street with three businesses in a row: a clothing store, a real estate office with photos of houses in the window, and a small gym. Sunny morning.

Your first samples came out well: a video for a pizza place, another for a dentist and another for a face cream. You send them to 10 different businesses.

None of them answers. The pizza place owner opens your link, sees a dentist and a cream, and finds nothing that looks like his shop.

“The logic would be to pick up a niche, a micro-niche, and become an expert at doing videos for this micro-niche.”

Eric

What a micro-niche is

A micro-niche is one kind of business: the real estate agencies in your city, women's clothing stores, neighborhood gyms. You learn how they talk and which dates matter to them, and your samples look like what they need.

One UGC creator explains it this way: trying to work with every brand takes away your place and lowers your chances of being hired. Treat it as a 30-day test. If it does not work, you switch micro-niche.

Where AI does good work

Often, a local business wants a good ad for its promotion. AI does that job well:

  • the offer of the week or of the season;
  • a service explained in 15 seconds;
  • the same product with several different openings, to test which one works best;
  • the same video in another language.

And there are jobs where AI loses: a real customer's testimonial, a demonstration where touching a texture matters, or products with unusual movement, like a board game or a folding gadget.

Three families to start with

  1. Shops with products. Clothing, cosmetics, household items. Products used in a predictable way come out well on video.
  2. Homes and property. Real estate agents, seasonal rentals. The agent's face is the business, and they almost never have time to film.
  3. Neighborhood services. Gyms, hair salons, car repair shops. They need to explain what they do and show this month's promotion.

For your first clients, leave out clinics, finance and anything that promises health or money. There, every line of the script needs the business's permission in writing.

Test before you choose

Before you settle on a micro-niche, make 2 test videos with a typical product or service of that kind of business. If both come out badly, switch micro-niche before you write to anyone.

To see how many businesses there are in each niche, UGC Viral Studio shows them on the map, in your city or any other.

How would you rather do it?

Nobody sees your answer: it is just for you.
